Service & Estimate Disclaimers

Utilities and Markings: Customer must identify and mark all underground utilities, irrigation lines, invisible fences, septic systems, and private lines. Timber Brute Tree and Stump LLC is not responsible for damage to unmarked or private lines, tanks, or other property. Call 811 before work begins.

Debris and Flying Objects: Tree work and stump grinding can throw debris. Keep people, pets, and property clear during work. While guards and shields may be used, complete containment cannot be guaranteed. Customer is both aware and responsible for these damages.l

Work Area and Access: Customer is responsible for providing clear access, including moving vehicles, furniture, and breakables. Work areas must be free of hazards.

Scope of Work: Stump grinding includes grinding the stump to approximately 6–8 inches below grade unless otherwise noted. Surface roots, backfill/topsoil, seeding, and removal of grindings are excluded unless specifically included in the estimate.

Hidden Conditions: Estimates are based on visible conditions. Rock, metal, or hidden obstructions may result in additional charges.

Weather and Rescheduling: We may reschedule work for any reason, including but not limited to weather or unsafe conditions, and equipment failure, without liability for delays.

Payment: Payment is due onsite unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments may incur fees; Customer agrees to pay Timber Brute its reasonable expenses, including legal and collection agency fees, incurred in enforcing its rights. If payment is not received, Timber Brute Tree and Stump LLC reserves all rights and remedies available under Virginia law, including the right to file and enforce a mechanic’s lien against the property where services were performed.

Any undisputed amounts not paid on the date of service will accrue interest from that date until payment is made in full, including past interest, at the rate of: (a) 1.5% per month (compounded monthly); or, where that rate is not permitted by applicable law or regulation (b) the maximum amount allowed by law.

Regrowth: Stump grinding does not remove all roots. Settling or regrowth may occur. No warranty against regrowth is provided unless a chemical treatment was purchased.
